Capital projects moving forward

The Rainy River District School Board is pleased to announce that we have received approval from the Ministry of Education on three of our projects and are now moving forward on the Rainy River K-12, Child Care and EarlyON Child and Family Centre Project; the Atikokan K-12, Child Care and EarlyON Child and Family Centre Project; and the Donald Young School Child Care Project.

New COVID case in Sioux Lookout region

On Monday, Aug. 3, the Northwestern Health Unit received a report of a new positive COVID-19 test result in the Sioux Lookout area for an individual whose primary residence is outside of the NWHU catchment area. Follow up with the person involved and their contacts has started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for this case will be contacted directly.

Hydro One hosts virtual community engagement session for Waasigan Transmission Line project

TORONTO, July 21, 2020 - Hydro One will be hosting a virtual community engagement session on Thursday, July 30, to inform and gather community feedback on the draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for the Waasigan Transmission Line project. Developing the ToR is the first step in the Environmental Assessment (EA) process for the project.
